Q1: What standard do your galvanized scaffolding tubes comply with?
A: Our scaffolding tubes are manufactured to meet BS1139-1.1 and EN39 standards. The outer diameter is 48.3 mm, and standard wall thicknesses are 3.2 mm and 4.0 mm.
Q2: What material are the tubes made from?
A: The standard material is S235GT (EU) or Q235 (China), with a minimum yield strength of 235 MPa. Higher grades such as Q355 are available for special requirements.
Q3: What is the difference between hot-dip galvanized and pre-galvanized scaffolding tubes?
A: Hot-dip galvanized tubes are immersed in molten zinc after forming, resulting in a thick, durable coating (40–85 μm) that provides excellent corrosion resistance. Pre-galvanized tubes are made from steel galvanized before welding, giving a thinner coating (10–20 μm) and a smoother surface. For outdoor scaffolding exposed to weather, we strongly recommend hot-dip galvanized tubes.
Q4: Can you provide custom lengths or wall thicknesses?
A: Yes. While 6.0 m and 5.8 m are the most common lengths, we can produce tubes up to 12 m in length and with wall thicknesses from 2.0 mm to 8.0 mm depending on the application.
Q5: Do your scaffolding tubes have plain ends or special end finishing?
A: Standard tubes are supplied with plain cut ends, deburred for safe handling. We can also provide capped ends, threaded ends, or swaged ends upon request.
Q6: Do you provide mill test certificates and third-party inspection?
A: Yes. Every shipment includes mill test certificates (MTC) showing chemical composition and mechanical properties. We can also arrange SGS, BV, or other third-party inspections at the buyer's request.
