1. Pre-galvanized Pipe (Electro-galvanized Pipe)
Definition: Pre-galvanized pipes undergo zinc electroplating on steel strips before tube formation, followed by welding and shaping.
Process: Zinc is deposited via electrochemical reaction, resulting in a thin coating (5-30 μm) with relatively weak adhesion .
Advantage: Smooth surface and uniform color, ideal for high-appearance applications.
2. Hot-dip Galvanized Pipe
Definition: Formed steel pipes are immersed in molten zinc at 450°C, forming a zinc-iron alloy layer through metallurgical bonding .
Process: The coating is thicker (50-150 μm), highly adhesive, and offers superior corrosion resistance.
Advantage: Exceptional durability in outdoor/harsh environments.
