EN 10204 certification refers to the certification of metal products and materials. Its purpose is to ensure that the inspection results are consistent with the requirements of the order.
There are generally two forms of certificates:
1. EN 10204-3.1 certificate
If a metal material factory is ISO 9001 certified and the issuing authority is an EU certification body, the factory can issue EN10204-3.1 material certificates to its customers.
The metal material factory acts as a seller and issues a material certificate to the buyer. The certificate must reflect the name of the factory customer, that is, there are clear buyers. A buyer needs a certificate.
If the metal material factory does not pass the ISO9001 or ISO9001 certification unit is not an EU certification body, the factory does not have the right to issue the EN10204-3.1 certificate, must apply to the third-party certification body for the EN10204-3.2 certificate.
2. EN 10204-3.2 certificate
The issuing authority of EN10204-3.2 must be an EU authorized body. After relevant tests on the types of products purchased by the factory's buyers, the results of the buyer's reputation test as a third party are consistent with the order.
The customer name and production plant name must also be reflected on the certificate.
The EN10204-3.2 certificate is a valid certificate that proves that its products comply with the European material specifications. Generally, for exporting large equipment, pressure equipment and other products, the raw material supplier is required to provide EN10204-3.2 certificate to prove the raw materials used on the equipment. It is in line with European regulations. The EN10204 certificate applies to any metal material such as steel, welded parts and other products.
