India Has Imposed A High Anti-dumping Duty On Chinese Hot Rolled And Cold Rolls

On April 10, 2017, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India issued a notice saying that the production of alloy or non-alloy hot rolled sheet products originating in or imported from China, Korea, Japan, Russia, Brazil and Indonesia (Hot-Rolled flat products of alloy or Non-alloy steel) made anti-dumping final ruling, ruling on China, South Korea, Japan, Russia, Brazil and Indonesia, the products involved were levied 489 ~ 561 US dollars / ton, 478 ~ 561 US dollars / ton, 489 ~ 561 US dollars / ton , 489 ~ 561 US dollars / ton, 489 ~ 561 US dollars / ton and 489 ~ 561 US dollars / ton. This case deals with products under the Indian Customs Tariffs 7208, 7211, 7225 and 7226.

On April 11, 2016, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced that it should submit a joint application from India Steel Authority of India Limited, JSW Steel Limited and Essar Steel India Limited to applications originating in or importing from China, Korea, Japan, Russia, Brazil and Indonesia alloy or non-alloy hot-rolled steel products to start anti-dumping investigation. In this case, the dumping investigation period is from July 2015 to December 2015. The period of industrial damage investigation includes April 2012 to March 2013, April 2013 to March 2014, April 2014 to March 2015, April 2015 ~ December 2015 and this dumping investigation period. August 1, 2016, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced that the case made a positive preliminary ruling.

In addition, on April 10, 2017, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry Anti-dumping Bureau issued a notice that the origin or import from China, Japan, South Korea and Ukraine alloy or non-alloy cold rolled coil products (Cold-Rolled flat products of Alloy or non-alloy steel) to make anti-dumping affirmative final ruling on China, Japan, South Korea and Ukraine involved companies are charged 576 US dollars / ton of anti-dumping duties. In this case, the dumping investigation period is from July 1, 2015 to December 31, 2015 (6 months). The period of industrial damage investigation includes 2012 ~ 2013, 2013 ~ 2014, 2014 ~ 2015, 2015 Month ~ December 2015 and the dumping investigation period. The case covers products under the Indian customs tariff lines 7209, 7211, 7225 and 7226.

On April 19, 2016, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India issued a joint application to the Indian companies, Essar Steel India Limited, Steel Authority of India Limited, JSW Steel Limited and JSW Steel Coated Products Limited, , South Korea and Ukraine alloy or non-alloy cold rolled coil products to start anti-dumping investigation. August 3, 2016, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued a notice on origin or import from China, Japan, South Korea and Ukraine alloy or non-alloy cold rolled coil products to make anti-dumping preliminary ruling.
