Production Method Of Steel

Most steels are processed by pressing steel to plastically deform the processed steel (blank, ingot, etc.). Depending on the processing temperature of the steel, there are two types of cold processing and hot processing. The main processing methods of steel are:

Rolling: A pressure processing method that passes the steel metal blank through a gap (various shapes) of a pair of rotating rolls, which reduces the material cross-section and increases the length due to the compression of the rolls. This is the most common production method for producing steel. To produce steel profiles, sheets, pipes. It is divided into cold rolling and hot rolling.

Forged steel: A method of press working that uses the reciprocating impact of a forging hammer or the pressure of a press to change the billet into the shape and size we need. It is generally divided into free forging and die forging, and is often used to produce large-sized materials, such as large blanks, and blanks.

Drawing steel: The processing method of drawing rolled metal blanks (shapes, tubes, products, etc.) through die holes to reduce the cross-section and increase the length is mostly used for cold processing.

Extrusion: It is a processing method in which steel puts metal in a closed extruder, and one end applies pressure to extrude the metal from a prescribed die hole to obtain a finished product of the same shape and size. It is mostly used to produce non-ferrous steel materials. .
