According to foreign media reports, Stavely minerals saw abnormally high grade in the drilling of Cayley lode of TG project in Victoria, Australia, and its shallow resources continued to expand.
The latest drill hole is located 20 meters northwest of the discovery hole in September last year. At a depth of 121 meters, the ore is 8 meters, with copper grade of 5.12%, gold of 1.48 g / T and silver of 34.3 g / T, including mineralization of 1 meter thick, copper grade of 26.9%, gold of 8.48 g / T and silver of 201 g / T.
The analysis shows that the mineralization is a high-grade ore body with a northward dip, similar to the discovery hole. It was found that 32 meters of ore, 5.88% of copper, 1 g / T of gold and 58 g / T of silver were found in the hole.
Another drill hole deployed to the northwest only sees thin-layer zinc mineralization. Although it is of little economic significance, stavley believes that this is a transition zone to a new and more rich ore section. There is increasing evidence that the Kelly vein is similar to the Butte and magma copper deposits in Montana and Arizona, which have not been seen in Australia before.
In addition, an abnormal high-grade mineralization with a thickness of 75m was found in the borehole arranged 200m southeast of the borehole at a depth of 20m, with the highest copper grade of 9.23%, gold of 2.67g/t and silver of 125g / T.
The drilling results show that the ore body is 1km long along the strike and has not penetrated southeast or downward.
Another hole has a sulfide deposit with a thickness of 60m, and the copper content is unstable. Staffley believes that this is the drilling result with the largest thickness found so far in Kelly vein.
Chris Cairns, CEO of the company, said that the ore body is 1km long along the strike, but it keeps expanding and shrinking, and the thickness changes greatly. However, the results of simulation analysis are consistent in the company.
The drilling plan is to delineate the high-grade and near surface mineralized resources of Kelly vein. At present, there are two diamond drillers and one air driller. The next step is to assess the potential of deep Kelly vein and other structures and start to verify the potential of deep porphyry deposit again. According to the company, the core part of the ore body has not been seen yet.
The estimated resource of ore in the shallow chalcocite rich zone 80 meters away from the TG deposit is 28 million tons, with a copper grade of 0.4%, i.e. the copper content is 110000 tons.
