Development potential:
1. The population is large and the population structure is very young
2. Abundant natural resources
3. The industrial structure is primitive, and many industries are still in the "blue ocean" state, and there is huge room for development
4. Low labor cost
Facing problems:
1. The government is extremely corrupt, and the law is basically a politician's toy. A large number of rules in the commercial field are of a display nature, and the rich and the related can basically be ignored. Although this situation also exists in the heavenly dynasty, what I saw and heard in Indonesia really opened my eyes.
2. Infrastructure is extremely backward, urban planning = almost no, public transportation = no.
3. There is no continuity in policy, and policy risk is high. Many industries have various strange barriers to foreign investment.
4. The political situation is not particularly stable. Race and religion have always been important destabilizing factors. For details, please refer to the election of governor of Jakarta some time ago. Muslims are currently conservative, mainly because of Saudi Arabia’s support for missionaries/mosques and certain political forces.
5. The key industries are monopolized by big chaebols (mostly Chinese, such as hartono, wonowidjojo, salim, etc.). The relationship between the families is intertwined. Doing business in certain industries, even if facing different companies, is actually a family...
6. The public education level is low and the work culture is extremely diffuse. I have always been an acute person since I was a child. After managing the Indonesian project, I completely cured the problem...
7. The gap between rich and poor is huge, and groups other than Chinese basically have no savings habits
