Customs Statistics Bulletin: December 2017 China exported 5.67 million tons of steel, an increase of 320,000 tons from the previous month, down 27.3%; January-December total exports of 75.45 million tons of steel, down 30.5%.
In December, China imported 1.2 million tons of steel, an increase of 60,000 tons from the previous month and an increase of 0.8% over the same period of last year. From January to December, China imported 13.3 million tons of steel, an increase of 0.6% over the same period of last year.
In December, China imported 84.14 million tons of iron ore and concentrate, down 10.4 million tons from the previous month and down 5.4% from the previous month. From January to December, China imported a total of 1,074.74 million tons of iron ore and concentrate, up by 5.0% .
In December, China exported 1.04 million tons of coke, an increase of 70,000 tons from the previous month and an increase of 15.6% over the same period of previous year. From January to December, China exported a total of 8.09 million tons of coke, down 20.0% over the same period of last year.
