Pakistan Makes Preliminary Anti-dumping Rulings On Cold-rolled Coils Involving China's Taiwan Region

On August 23, 2021, the National Tariff Commission of Pakistan issued the Announcement No. ADC60/2021/NTC/CRC, stating that anti-dumping affirmation was made on cold-rolled coils originating in or imported from Taiwan, the European Union, South Korea, and Vietnam. The preliminary ruling is to impose a 4-month temporary anti-dumping duty on the products involved based on cost and freight (C&F) starting from August 23, 2021, as follows: 6.18% in Taiwan, 6.50% in the European Union, and 6.50% in South Korea. 13.24% and Vietnam 17.25%. The products involved are cold-rolled plates or cold-rolled coils with a width of ≤1250 mm, a thickness of 0.15 mm to 3.00 mm, primary and secondary, unclad, plated or coated iron or non-alloy steel (excluding cold-rolled coils for automobiles). Plates), involving products under Pakistan tariff numbers 7209.1510, 7209.1590, 7209.1610, 7209.1690, 7209.1710, 7209.1790, 7209.1810, 7209.1891, 7209.1899, 7209.2510, 7209.2590, 7209.2610, 7209.2690, 7209.2710, 7209.2790, 7209.2810 and 7209.2890. The dumping investigation period in this case is from October 1, 2019 to September 30, 2020, and the damage investigation period is from October 1, 2017 to September 30, 2020. The final ruling is expected to be made within 180 days.


Stakeholders should submit an application for a hearing within 30 days of the publication of this announcement.
