▲Data from a survey of 247 steel mills showed that the profit rate of steel mills was 48.48%, an increase of 0.43 percentage points from last week and 14.71 percentage points from last year; the average daily molten iron output was 2.2941 million tons, a decrease of 30,600 tons from last week and an increase of 27,700 tons from last year.
▲Last week, the average molten iron cost of mainstream sample steel mills in Tangshan was 2,361 yuan/ton excluding tax, and the average billet cost including tax was 3,136 yuan/ton, a decrease of 4 yuan/ton from the previous week. Compared with the ex-factory price of ordinary square billets of 3,040 yuan/ton on December 20, the average loss of steel mills was 96 yuan/ton.
▲Last week, the supply of the five major steel varieties was 8.4994 million tons, a weekly decrease of 107,600 tons, a decrease of 1.3%; the total inventory was 11.1841 million tons, a weekly decrease of 207,200 tons, a decrease of 1.8%; the weekly consumption was 8.7067 million tons, a decrease of 1.2%; among them, the consumption of building materials decreased by 0.003% month-on-month, and the consumption of plates decreased by 2% month-on-month.
▲On December 19, the average cost of 76 independent electric arc furnace construction steel mills was 3,475 yuan/ton, the average profit loss was 57 yuan/ton, and the profit of valley electricity was 60 yuan/ton.
▲China Iron and Steel Association held a closing meeting on the new mechanism for steel capacity governance and the evaluation of steel capacity replacement policy. The meeting believes that in the face of the current development trend of "strong supply and weak demand", the steel industry must consistently deepen supply-side structural reforms, control incremental growth, optimize existing stocks, merge and reorganize, and smooth exit, and comprehensively optimize a series of policies such as steel production capacity replacement, output regulation, and capacity management to create a set of powerful and effective policy combinations to promote the transformation, upgrading and high-quality development of the steel industry.
