Vale and Ningbo Zhoushan Port Group signed a grinding service agreement on December 17, and will cooperate to launch new grinding products at the hulanghu Wharf in Zhoushan. The first grinding product gf88 is expected to be launched in China in the first quarter of 2020.
This agreement is jointly signed by eisenqiao, President of Vale China, and Gong liming, director of Zhejiang seaport group, director of Ningbo Zhoushan port group and general manager of Ningbo Zhoushan Port Co., Ltd.
According to the agreement, Ningbo Zhoushan Port Group will provide vale with a full range of services from site construction to operation and maintenance at its Derang Lake wharf. The signing ceremony is an important follow-up achievement of the memorandum of understanding signed by vale CEO Bo andor and Ningbo Zhoushan Port Group in August this year. It enhances Vale's pillar strategy of "maximizing iron ore quality".
"As China enters a new era, China's iron and steel industry pays more and more attention to environmental protection, hoping to increase the proportion of pellet in blast furnace burden. Vale relies on the close cooperation with Ningbo Zhoushan port group, and supplies our high-quality grinding products as raw materials for pelletizing plants, so as to respond to the new needs of customers quickly. " Eisenjo said.
Gf88, the first product to be produced at the molanghu wharf, will be ground by carragas powder, a high-end product of vale.
"Gf88 is designed and manufactured in China. It is a new product customized for the new era of China. It does not need fuel and water in the production process, so it will not produce tailings and waste water. At the same time, it can provide high-quality raw materials for pelletizing production, and the use of pelletizing will help steel mills reduce blast furnace emissions and production costs. " Eisenhower added.
